Nancy Roberts

The acclaimed, award winning author of more than twenty five books blends suspense, mystery, and history with a talent for finding true stories of the supernatural. She lives in Charlotte with her husband, Jim Brown, who assists her with her research.

She has been aptly proclaimed the "Custodian of the Twilight Zone" by Southern Living magazine, and is frequently introduced as the "First Lady of Folklore." She has been the featured speaker or teller at the North Carolina Museum of History, Thalian Hall - Wilmington, Kiawah Island Resort, SC, University of Illinois at De Kalb, and at many schools and libraries throughout the southeast. She adapts her presentations to the interests or needs of each audience. Her "Meet the Author" programs include storytelling. She also does creative writing workshops and teacher training in the area of how to use folklore with required courses.
